Capacitive Pickup

BB capacitive sensor of the first cylinder (Cx1)
Designed for synchronization by the first cylinder or selected in the program. The sensor is usually connected to the high-voltage wire of the first cylinder and the 9th channel (green mark of the sensor - green background of the 9th channel). It is used for the classic ignition system (Conventional Ignition System) and DIS ignition system (Distributorless Ignition System).
Inductive Pick-up

It is designed for synchronization by the first cylinder or selected in the program. The sensor is usually installed on the ignition coil of the first cylinder and connected to the 9th channel (green mark of the sensor - green background of the 9th channel). It can also be used for diagnostics of the ignition system (the coils are checked one by one), the sensor is connected sequentially to all coils and usually to the 8th channel, for this mode it is recommended to select the working environment [Secondary voltage / Individual (Lx1)]. It is used for COP ignition systems (Coil-On-Plug ignition system), equipped with rod-type ignition coils (almost all modern engines).
DIS 4 Cyl
It is designed for diagnostics of DIS ignition system of 2/4/6 cylinder engines, and is also suitable for classic ignition system, where only one high-voltage sensor is used. Sensors are connected to high-voltage wires taking into account the polarity of high-voltage pulses, and usually to the 7th and 8th channels (red mark of sensor – red background of channel 7, blue mark of sensor – blue background of channel 8).

It is designed for diagnostics of DIS ignition system of 2/4/6 cylinder engines, and is also suitable for classic ignition system, where only one high-voltage sensor is used. The mixer probe allows simultaneous connection to electromagnetic injectors (phased and paired-parallel fuel injection systems), primary circuit or control circuit of individual ignition coils, using only one MT Pro channel, usually connected to the 3rd channel. To carry out measurements, it is necessary to additionally connect the MT Pro body (BNC connector screen, hook, ground screw) to the car body or battery terminal, i.e. ensure the common ground connection. Recommended working environments: [Cylinder comparison / Injectors] and [Cylinder comparison / Primary voltage].
